Spicy Beef And Bean Burgers
|Egg white||1 , slightly beaten|
|Canned pinto beans||7 1⁄2 Ounce, drained and mashed (Half 15 Ounce Can)|
|Soft whole wheat bread crumbs||1⁄4 Cup (4 tbs)|
|Chopped celery||1⁄4 Cup (4 tbs)|
|Chopped canned jalapeno peppers/1 tablespoon canned diced green chili peppers||1 Teaspoon|
|Garlic powder||1⁄8 Teaspoon|
|Lean ground beef||1 Pound|
|Flour tortillas||4 , halved (8 Inch Each)|
|Salsa||1 Cup (16 tbs)|
In a large mixing bowl combine egg white, beans, bread crumbs, celery, chili peppers, and garlic powder.
Add ground beef; mix well.
Shape meat mixture into eight 1/2 inch thick oval patties.
Place patties on the unheated rack of a broiler pan.
Broil 4 inches from the heat for 12 to 14 minutes or till meat is no longer pink, turning once.
