Eating On The Cheap
|Stewing beef||3 Pound, cut into cubes|
|Chopped parsnip/Chopped carrots||3|
|Onion soup mix||1 1⁄4 Ounce|
|Garlic powder||To Taste|
|Red wine||1⁄2 Cup (8 tbs) (Cheap Type)|
Preheat oven to 325°.
Place the meat and chopped vegetables, mixed with the dry onion soup, on a very large sheet of heavy duty foil.
Sprinkle with pepper and garlic powder.
Add the wine.
Wrap the mixture in the foil, seal it well but leave a "blowhole" in the top so it won't explode.
Place in oven and bake for 1 1/2 hours at 325-350°.
