Pot Roast In Foil
|Pot roast||4 Pound|
|Dry onion soup mix||1 Ounce|
|Red wine/Apple juice||1⁄2 Cup (8 tbs)|
|Thyme/Garlic powder / salt to taste||1⁄4 Teaspoon|
Line a dutch oven with aluminum foil - 2 layers best, so it won't leak.
Place roast in dutch oven, add wine and sprinkle with soup mix and seasonings.
Close foil tightly all around the meat and cook 3 hours at 325°.
To make gravy, thicken the pan juices with a flour and water mixture.
