Cooked Corned Beef Brisket

Ingredients
  Corned beef brisket 5 Pound
  Onion 1 , halved
  Garlic 1 Clove (5 gm), halved
  Whole cloves 6
  Peppercorns 8
  Bay leaves 2
  Celery stalks 4 , cut into pieces
Directions

Put corned beef into a large kettle; cover with cold water.
Add remaining ingredients and bring to boiling.
Cover and simmer 3 1/2 to 4 hours, or until the beef is tender.
Remove beef from liquid.
Slice and serve hot with English Mustard Sauce

Hi! I´m a german Girl and I know this recipe since I was 11 years old and we have visited my Grand Aunt in Virginia. It tasted so wonderfull. Now I´m 36 and I am very happy that i found this recipe here because no one knows with kind of beef it was cooked.
