Sliced Cranberry Pot Roast
|Top round beef steak||1 Pound, cut into 0.75 inch thick|
|Water||1⁄2 Cup (8 tbs)|
|Potatoes||3 Medium, peeled and quartered|
|Jellied cranberry sauce||1 Cup (16 tbs), mashed|
Trim fat from beef; cut into 4 equal portions.
In margarine, saute the meat until brown over low heat.
Blend the flour into margarine in pan.
Add cranberry sauce, water, sugar and salt.
Cover; simmer gently for 30 minutes.
Then turn meat and add potatoes.
Cook an hour longer or until meat and potatoes are tender.
