Spicy Black Beans With Onion And Bacon
|Bacon||1⁄4 Pound, chopped|
|Onion||1 Large, chopped|
|Garlic||2 Clove (10 gm), chopped|
|Canned black beans||16 Ounce, drained and rinsed|
|Canned diced peeled tomatoes||16 Ounce|
|Canned diced green chilies||4 Ounce|
|Chili powder||2 1⁄2 Tablespoon|
|Dried oregano||2 Teaspoon|
|Cayenne pepper||1⁄4 Teaspoon|
Cook bacon in heavy large saucepan over medium heat until light brown, about 10 minutes.
Add onion and garlic and saute until onion is translucent, about 5 minutes.
Add all remaining ingredients.
Simmer until chili is thick, stirring frequently, about 12 minutes.
Season to taste with salt and pepper.
