Sweet-And-Sour Green Beans
|Frozen french-style green beans||10 Ounce, partially thawed|
|Bacon slices||4 , diced|
|Onion||1 Small, diced|
|Water||1⁄4 Cup (4 tbs)|
|Cider vinegar||1⁄4 Cup (4 tbs)|
|Pimiento||1 Tablespoon, chopped|
Break apart green beans and place in crock pot.
In skillet, fry bacon until crisp; remove bacon to absorbent towels to drain.
Pour off all but 2 tablespoons bacon drippings from skillet; saute onion in bacon drippings (do not brown).
Dissolve flour in water; stir into bacon drippings and cook until slightly thickened.
Combine bacon and remaining ingredients and stir into thickened onion mixture.
Pour over green beans and stir well.
Cover and cook on high setting for 1 hour, then turn to low setting for 7 to 9 hours.
