Slow-Cooker Baked Beans
|Dry navy beans||1 1⁄2 Pound|
|Onion||1 , chopped|
|Ketchup||1 Cup (16 tbs)|
|Packed brown sugar||1 Cup (16 tbs)|
|Dry mustard||2 Teaspoon|
|Dark molasses||2 Tablespoon|
|Salt pork||4 Ounce, diced|
Place the navy beans in a kettle.
Add enough water to cover.
Simmer for about 30 minutes or until beans have tripled in size.
Remove from heat and let stand, covered, for 1 1/2 hours or until beans are soft; drain.
Combine the beans and the remaining ingredients in a large slow cooker and mix well.
Cook on Low for 10 to 12 hours.
