Cheesy Bean Bake
The cheesy bean bake is a cottage and cheddar chean bake made with pinto, red or kidney beans. Nutritious and savory, I cant get enough of this bean bake. Made with cooked onions and peppers, the cheesy bean bake also has rice to it which makes it a complete meal that can be served with a side.
|Cooked pinto beans/Cooked red / kidney beans||3 Cup (48 tbs) (Salted)|
|Chopped onion||1 Cup (16 tbs)|
|Chopped bell pepper||1⁄2 Cup (8 tbs)|
|Cooked rice||1 Cup (16 tbs), salted|
|Cottage cheese||1 Cup (16 tbs)|
|Grated cheddar cheese||3 Cup (48 tbs)|
Saute onion and pepper in oil until tender.
Fold into beans along with remaining ingredients.
Spoon into a 2 quart casserole.
Bake in a 350Â°F oven for 3 minutes or until bubbly.
Canned beans may be used.
