Barbecue Style Baked Beans
|Dry red kidney beans||1 Pound|
|Cold water||2 Quart|
|Hot water||2 Quart|
|Corn syrup||1 Cup (16 tbs) (Light Or Dark)|
|Firmly packed brown sugar||1⁄4 Cup (4 tbs)|
|Catsup||1⁄2 Cup (8 tbs)|
|Chopped onion||1 Cup (16 tbs)|
|Worcestershire sauce||1 Tablespoon (Original)|
|Garlic||2 Clove (10 gm), minced|
|Chili powder||2 Teaspoon|
|Ground ginger||1 Teaspoon|
Rinse beans; stir together beans and cold water in a 4 quart saucepan.
Soak beans 8 hours, or overnight; drain.
Add hot water to beans; cover and .bring to a boil over medium heat.
Boil 1 hour.
Drain, reserving liquid.
Stir together beans, corn syrup, sugar, catsup, onion, Worcestershire sauce, garlic, chili powder, ginger, salt and 1 cup reserved liquid in a 3 quart casserole.
Cover and bake in preheated 300Â° F oven, stirring occasionally, 2 1/2 to 3 hours, or until almost all liquid is absorbed.
