Long Beans In Black Bean Sauce
|Long beans||1 Pound, trimmed and cut into 2 inch pieces (450 gram)|
|Mashed salted black beans||3 Tablespoon|
|Water||2 Fluid Ounce (50 milliliter)|
|Cornflour/Arrowroot||1 Tablespoon, dissolved in 1 tablespoon water|
|Roasted sesame seeds||1 Tablespoon (for sprinkling)|
Heat the oil in a wok or heavy frying pan and stir-fry the long beans over a high heat for about 2 minutes.
Combine the black beans, tamari, honey and the 50ml (2fl oz) water.
Add this mixture to the long beans and cook for 2 minutes.
Dissolve the cornflour or arrowroot in the remaining 1 tablespoon water, stir it into the beans and cook for 2 minutes.
Sprinkle with roasted sesame seeds and serve at once.
Use green beans instead of long beans.
