Hot Green Bean Salad

Ingredients
  Canned french cut green beans 32 Ounce, drained
  Sugar 1⁄2 Cup (8 tbs)
  Vinegar 1⁄2 Cup (8 tbs)
  Vegetable oil 1⁄2 Cup (8 tbs)
  Purple onion 1 Medium, thinly sliced
  Water chestnuts 1⁄2 Cup (8 tbs), sliced
  Pimento 4 Ounce, sliced and drained (1 Jar)
  Bacon slices 4 , cooked and crumbled
  Lettuce leaves 4
Directions

Place beans in a shallow dish.
Combine sugar, vinegar, and oil in a small mixing bowl, and pour over green beans.
Cover and chill 1 hour.
Drain beans.
Add onion, water chestnuts, and sliced pimiento, toss gently.
Spoon into a lightly greased 2-quart casserole, and sprinkle bacon over top.
Bake at 350° for 30 minutes.
Serve hot over lettuce leaves.
