Hot Green Bean Salad
|Canned french cut green beans||32 Ounce, drained|
|Sugar||1⁄2 Cup (8 tbs)|
|Vinegar||1⁄2 Cup (8 tbs)|
|Vegetable oil||1⁄2 Cup (8 tbs)|
|Purple onion||1 Medium, thinly sliced|
|Water chestnuts||1⁄2 Cup (8 tbs), sliced|
|Pimento||4 Ounce, sliced and drained (1 Jar)|
|Bacon slices||4 , cooked and crumbled|
Place beans in a shallow dish.
Combine sugar, vinegar, and oil in a small mixing bowl, and pour over green beans.
Cover and chill 1 hour.
Add onion, water chestnuts, and sliced pimiento, toss gently.
Spoon into a lightly greased 2-quart casserole, and sprinkle bacon over top.
Bake at 350Â° for 30 minutes.
Serve hot over lettuce leaves.
