Baked String Beans And Bacon
|String beans||2 Pound|
|Salt||1 1⁄4 Teaspoon|
|Thin cream/Thin white sauce||1 1⁄2 Cup (24 tbs)|
|Melted fat||3 Tablespoon|
|Fine bread crumbs||1⁄2 Cup (8 tbs)|
Cook the string beans, cut in inch lengths, until tender.
Meanwhile cut the bacon into dice and fry until crisp.
Add the bacon to the beans together with the thin cream or white sauce, salt, pepper and 2 tbsp melted fat.
Arrange in a greased casserole and cover with the fine bread crumbs which have been mixed with 1 tbsp melted fat.
Bake in a hot oven of 425Â° F. for 20 min. or until golden brown.
