Green Beans And Corn

Ingredients
  Green beans 1⁄2 Pound
  Corn cobs 6 Medium
  Butter 1⁄4 Cup (4 tbs)
  Minced onion 1 Tablespoon
  Heavy cream 1⁄2 Cup (8 tbs)
  Salt 1 Teaspoon
  Pepper 1⁄4 Teaspoon
Directions

Wash and cut beans into strips.
Cook in boiling salted water until just tender, about 10 minutes.
Drain.
Cut raw corn from cobs (you should have about 4 cups).
Heat butter in large heavy skillet.
Add onion and corn and cook gently, stirring, until corn is nearly tender, about 5 minutes.
Add beans and cook and stir gently for another 3 minutes.
Add cream, salt, pepper and anise seed and heat but do not boil.
Serve immediately.
