Barbecued Lima Beans

Ingredients
  Dried lima beans 1 Pound
  Water 4 Cup (64 tbs)
  Onions 1 1⁄2 Cup (24 tbs), finely chopped
  Firmly packed brown sugar 1 Cup (16 tbs)
  Ketchup 1 Cup (16 tbs)
  Dark corn syrup 2⁄3 Cup (10.67 tbs)
  Salt 1 Tablespoon
  Liquid smoke 1 Tablespoon
  Tabasco sauce 9 Drop
  Bacon slices 3 (For Topping)
Directions

MAKING
1) Into a pot, soak the beans overnight
2) Into the pot add the onions and bring to a simmer and cook till the beans are tender
3) Mix the brown sugar, ketchup, dark corn syrup, salt, liquid smoke and tobasco sauce
4) Stir everything together well
5) Cool completely, and place into casserole
6) Cling wrap, crimp the seals and label appropriately
7) Before serving thaw at room temperature
8) Bake the beans with the lid on in the oven at 400F for 30 minutes
9) Place the bacon strips on top and bake uncovered till the beans become hot and the bacon becomes crispy which takes an hour

SERVING
10) Serve the beans warm
