Black and White Beans
|Black beans||2 Cup (32 tbs), dried|
|White beans||2 Cup (32 tbs), dried|
|Whole garlic||8 Clove (40 gm)|
|Onions||1 Cup (16 tbs), finely chopped|
|Garlic||2 Clove (10 gm)|
|Ground cumin||1 Teaspoon|
|Freshly ground black pepper||1⁄2 Teaspoon|
1.Rinse black and beans separately and keep in different pans.
2.Put water in the pans sufficient to cover the beans.
3.Boil and once done, let the beans stay in water for 1 hour.
5.Put fresh water suffient to cover the beans in both saucepans along with 4 cloves garlic in each.
5.Let the ingredients boil.
6.Once done, put the lid on and cook for 2 hours on low flame until soft.
8.In a casserole dish, mix beans with salt.
9.Take a skillet, heat oil in it cook onions for 10 minutes.
10.Add minced garlic and stir for 1 minutes.
11.Put beans along with cumin and pepper to the skillet.
12.Toss and cook for 20 more minutes on low flame.
