Baked Bacon And Beans
|Great northern beans||1 Pound (1 Package)|
|Catsup||1 Cup (16 tbs)|
|Cane syrup||1⁄2 Cup (8 tbs)|
|Bacon grease||4 Tablespoon|
Soak beans overnight in enough water to cover.
Boil until tender, keeping just enough water to cover.
Mix catsup, syrup, bacon grease, and salt and pepper.
Do not drain.
Place beans in baking pot.
Cut onion in quarters and place in middle of beans in pot.
Place strips of bacon on top.
Bake at 200 degrees for 2 hours or until most of moisture is absorbed.
Serves 6 to 8.
