Bacon Topped Green Beans

Ingredients
  Green beans 1 Pound
  Bacon slices 3 , chopped
  Onion 1⁄2 Cup (8 tbs), chopped
  Water 1⁄4 Cup (4 tbs)
  Salt 1⁄2 Teaspoon
Directions

MAKING
1.Take a double broiler and heat millk in at its top.
2.In a bowl, put sugar and cornstarch and mix them well.
3.Put eggs in the sugar mixture and blend the ingredients using electric mixer.
4.Put some heated milk in the egg mixture and stir.
5.Once done, pour the egg mixture into the milk kept in double broiler and stir continuously.
6.Mix the ingredients well until a thick consistent mixture is formed which coats on a metal spoon.
7.Once done, allow the mixture to cool.
8.Put sherry in the custard prepared.
9.Take a 5 quart serving bowl and keep half of pound cake in it and top it with half of custard.
10.Top the custard layer with whipped cream and put custard again.

SERVING
11.Top with cherries and serve.
