Broken Beans

Ingredients
  Green beans 1 Pound, trimmed, broken
  Butter 1 Tablespoon
  Flour 1 Tablespoon
  Marjoram To Taste
  Potatoes 3 Large, thinly sliced
  Salt To Taste
  Pepper To Taste
Directions

Saute green beans in butter in saucepan over low heat.
Stir in flour.
Cook until blended, stirring constantly.
Add enough water to cover; mix well.
Bring to a boil, stirring constantly; reduce heat.
Stir in salt, pepper and marjoram.
Simmer for 5 minutes, stirring occasionally.
Add potatoes; mix well.
Add additional water if desired.
Bring to a boil; reduce heat.
Cook, covered, for 30 minutes.
Mash potatoes and green beans until creamy mixture forms.
Serve with sausage, pork chops or any type of meat.
