Green Beans And Tomatoes

Ingredients
  Green beans 1 Pound, cut in 2 inch lengths
  Bacon slices 4 , diced
  Onion 1 Small, chopped
  Garlic 2 Clove (10 gm), minced
  Tomato 1 , diced
  Oregano 1 Teaspoon
  Lemon juice 2 Tablespoon
  Salt To Taste
  Pepper To Taste
Directions

Bring water to boil in a saucepan.
Add beans and cook until crisp-tender.
Immediately cool in ice water.
Drain.
Fry the bacon in a skillet.
When crisp, remove from skillet.
Cook the onion and garlic in the bacon fat until soft, about 5 minutes.
Add the tomato, oregano, salt and pepper.
Simmer 10 minutes.
Stir in the beans, lemon juice and bacon bits.
Heat thoroughly.
