STRING BEANS WITH RICE
|Oil||1⁄2 Cup (8 tbs)|
|Hot water||1 Cup (16 tbs)|
|String beans||2 Pound|
|Brown rice||1⁄2 Cup (8 tbs)|
|Chopped celery||1 Cup (16 tbs)|
|Sweet basil||1 Tablespoon|
Chop onions and peppers and saute in the oil then drain.
Wash rice, dry well, and saute in the same oil until lightly brown.
Add hot water, pared string beans, chopped celery, peeled tomatoes (canned tomatoes may be used) and salt.
Cover and bake in moderately hot oven until nearly done, add the chopped Basil.
