Ingredients
  Lean hamburger 1⁄4 Pound
  Onion 1 , chopped
  Red potato 1 Medium, chopped with skin
  Carrot 1 , chopped
  Celery 2 Tablespoon, chopped
  Garlic 1 Clove (5 gm), chopped
  Frozen peas 1⁄4 Cup (4 tbs)
  Low sodium beef bouillon 1 Teaspoon
  Thyme 1⁄4 Teaspoon
  Basil 1⁄4 Teaspoon
  Bay leaf 1
  Black pepper 1⁄8 Teaspoon
  Hot pepper To Taste
Directions

Brown hamburger with onion and garlic over moderate heat.
Add potato, carrot, peas and celery with enough boiling water to barely cover.
Add remaining seasonings and spices.
Simmer over low heat for about 15 minutes.
No salt is needed.
Vegetables and herbs may be varied according to taste and season.
