Deluxe Green Beans
|Sliced green beans||3 Cup (48 tbs) (Fresh Or Frozen)|
|Chopped onion||1⁄3 Cup (5.33 tbs)|
|Whole wheat flour||2 Tablespoon|
|Black pepper||To Taste|
|Dairy sour cream||1 Cup (16 tbs)|
|Grated cheddar cheese||1⁄2 Cup (8 tbs)|
Steam beans until tender (about 10 minutes).
Preheat oven to 350°.
Melt butter in a small, heavy-bottomed pan; add onion and saute" until tender.
Stir in flour, salt, and pepper.
When thoroughly mixed, add the sour cream very carefully and heat.
Do not boil.
Taste and correct seasonings.
Stir sour cream mixture into hot beans; pour beans into a greased 1-quart casserole.
Top with cheese.
Bake about 15 minutes or until cheese melts and beans are heated thoroughly.
