Cabbage and Green Beans
|Corn oil margarine||1 Tablespoon|
|Green cabbage||4 Cup (64 tbs), shredded|
|Vinegar||1⁄2 Cup (8 tbs)|
|Onion||1⁄4 Cup (4 tbs), chopped|
|Granulated sugar||2 Tablespoon|
|Fresh green beans/1 package (10 ounces) frozen green beans||2 Cup (32 tbs), cooked, drained|
|Imitation bacon pieces||4 (For Garnish)|
In a skillet over medium heat melt margarine.
Add cabbage, vinegar, onion, sugar, salt and pepper.
Saute for several minutes.
Cover; reduce heat.
Simmer for 15 minutes or until cabbage has cooked down to 1/2 the volume.
Cabbage may be refrigerated until serving time if desired.
Add green beans.
Heat for 5 minutes or to serving temperature.
Into serving dish spoon vegetable mixture.
Garnish with imitation bacon pieces.
