Easy Green Bean Almondine
|Slivered almonds||1⁄3 Cup (5.33 tbs), or shaved|
|Butter/Margarine||1⁄4 Cup (4 tbs)|
|Fresh green beans||1 1⁄2 Pound, halved|
|Water||1⁄2 Cup (8 tbs)|
|Lemon juice||1 Teaspoon|
1. Combine almonds and butter in a 2-quart glass measure. Microwave, uncovered, at Cook Cycle 1 (power level 10) for 4 to 6 minutes, or until almonds are lightly toasted. Set aside.
2. Combine beans and water in a 2-quart glass casserole. Cover. Microwave at Cook Cycle 2 (power level 10) for 10 to 13 minutes, or until beans are crisp-tender. Drain. Toss beans with reserved almond-butter mixture and all remaining ingredients.
