Green Beans Supreme With Cheese

Ingredients
  Frozen french style green beans 18 Ounce (2 Packages, 9 Ounce Each)
  Onion 1 Small, sliced
  Snipped parsley 1 Tablespoon
  Butter/Margarine 2 Tablespoon
  All purpose flour 2 Tablespoon
  Finely shredded lemon peel 1⁄2 Teaspoon
  Salt 1⁄2 Teaspoon
  Pepper 1 Dash
  Milk 1⁄2 Cup (8 tbs)
  Dairy sour cream 1 Cup (16 tbs)
  Shredded american cheese 2 Ounce (1/2 Cup)
  Fine dry bread crumbs 1⁄4 Cup (4 tbs)
  Butter/Margarine 1 Tablespoon, melted
Directions

Cook green beans according to package directions.
Drain.
In a saucepan cook onion and parsley in the 2 tablespoons butter or margarine till onion is tender.
Blend in flour, lemon peel, salt, and pepper.
Add milk all at once.
Cook and stir till mixture is thickened and bubbly.
Stir in sour cream and cooked beans; heat till just bubbly.
Do not boil.
Preheat broiler.
Spoon mixture into a 1-quart casserole.
Sprinkle with cheese.
Toss bread crumbs with remaining melted butter or margarine.
Sprinkle atop beans.
Broil 4 to 5 inches from heat for 1 to 2 minutes or till cheese melts and crumbs are browned.
