Barley With Green Beans Parmesan

Ingredients
  Pearl barley 1⁄2 Cup (8 tbs), drained, rinsed
  Olive oil 1 Tablespoon
  Onion 1 Small, chopped
  Frozen italian green beans/1/2 pound fresh green beans, sliced and steamed until tender-crisp, 5 to 7 minutes 10 Ounce, steamed (1 Package)
  Dried oregano 1⁄4 Teaspoon
  Dried basil 1⁄4 Teaspoon
  Freshly ground black pepper 1⁄4 Teaspoon
  Grated parmesan cheese 2 Tablespoon
  Minced flat leaf parsley 1 Tablespoon
  Pine nuts 2 Tablespoon, toasted
Directions

Cook the barley in 1 quart of boiling salted water until the grains are tender but not mushy, about 35 minutes.
Drain.
Heat the oil in a saucepan; saute the onion until it is softened.
Add the green beans and cook according to the package directions.
When the beans are done, stir in the oregano, basil, and pepper.
Combine the barley and green beans.
Stir in the cheese and parsley.
Just before serving, toast the pine nuts and sprinkle them over the dish.
