Pinto Beans

Ingredients
  Dried pinto beans 1 Pound (1 Package)
  Water 5 Cup (80 tbs)
  Onion 1 Medium, quartered
  Garlic 1 Clove (5 gm), minced
  Chili powder 1 Teaspoon
  Salt 2 Teaspoon
  Pork hocks/Salt pork 1⁄2 Pound, cut into cubes
Directions

1. Soak pinto beans overnight in water to cover; drain.
2. Combine beans, water, onion, garlic, chili powder, salt and pork hocks or salt pork in large kettle.
3. Bring to boiling; lower the heat; simmer over low heat 2 1/2 hours, or until beans are very soft. Remove pork hocks or salt pork before serving.
