Mustard Beans

Ingredients
  Wax beans/1 15 1/2-ounce can whole wax beans 1 Pound (drained)
  Sugar 1⁄2 Cup (8 tbs)
  Vinegar 1⁄2 Cup (8 tbs)
  Prepared mustard 1⁄4 Cup (4 tbs)
  Onion 2 Tablespoon, finley chopped
  Salt 1⁄4 Teaspoon
Directions

Cook the whole fresh wax beans.
Drain.
In saucepan combine sugar, vinegar, mustard, onion, salt, and 1/3 cup water.
Bring mixture to boiling, stirring till sugar dissolves.
Add drained cooked fresh beans or the drained canned beans.
Simmer, uncovered, for 5 minutes; cool.
Cover and refrigerate several hours or overnight, stirring occasionally.
Makes 2 cups relish.
