Green Beans Supreme

Ingredients
  Green beans/2 packages, 9 ounce each frozen french-style green beans 1 Pound
  Onion 1 Small, sliced
  Snipped parsley 1 Tablespoon
  Butter 3 Tablespoon
  All purpose flour 2 Tablespoon
  Finely shredded lemon peel 1⁄2 Teaspoon
  Milk 1⁄2 Cup (8 tbs)
  Dairy sour cream 1 Cup (16 tbs)
  Shredded american cheese 1⁄2 Cup (8 tbs)
  Fine dry bread crumbs 1⁄4 Cup (4 tbs)
Directions

Cut fresh beans French-style and cook.
(Or, cook frozen beans according to package directions.) Drain.
Cook onion and parsley in 2 tablespoons of the butter till onion is tender.
Blend in flour, lemon peel, 1/2 teaspoon salt, and dash pepper.
Add milk; cook and stir till thickened and bubbly.
Stir in sour cream and cooked beans; heat till just bubbly.
Spoon into 1-quart casserole.
Sprinkle with cheese.
Melt the remaining 1 tablespoon butter; toss with bread crumbs and sprinkle atop beans.
Broii 4 to 5 inches from heat till cheese melts and crumbs brown, 1 to 2 minutes.
