White Beans

Ingredients
  Dry white beans/Navy beans 8 Ounce (1 1/4 Cup)
  Bacon slices 4 , cut up
  Salt 1⁄2 Teaspoon
  Canned tomatoes 16 Ounce (1 Can)
  Onion 1 Small, quartered
  Salt 3⁄4 Teaspoon
  Sugar 1⁄2 Teaspoon
  Pepper 1⁄8 Teaspoon
  Coarsely chopped cabbage 2 Cup (32 tbs)
  Chopped pork 1 Cup (16 tbs) (Finely Chopped)
  Sausage link 1 , cooked and chopped (Chorizo / Italian)
  Whole clove 1
  Saffron 1⁄8 Teaspoon, crushed
Directions

In large bowl soak beans overnight in 4 cups water.
Do not drain.
In large saucepan cook beans with bacon and the 1/2 teaspoon salt for 1 1/2 hours or till beans are tender.
In blender container place undrained tomatoes, onion, the 3/4 teaspoon salt, sugar, and pepper.
Cover; blend till smooth.
Stir into beans along with cabbage, pork, sausage, clove, and saffron.
Bring to boiling.
Simmer 12 to 15 minutes or just till cabbage is tender.
Do not overcook cabbage.
Season to taste.
