Green Beans Almondine
|Fresh green beans||1 1⁄2 Pound|
|Hot water||1⁄2 Cup (8 tbs)|
|Almonds||1⁄3 Cup (5.33 tbs), slivered|
|Ground nutmeg||1⁄4 Teaspoon|
Wash beans and break off ends.
Break beans into 1-to 1 1/2-inch pieces.
Place in 2-quart casserole.
Stir water and salt until salt is dissolved.
Stir into beans.
Microwave at HIGH (100%) until beans are tender-crisp, 13 to 16 minutes, stirring once.
Let stand 2 to 3 minutes.
Mix in almonds, margarine, nutmeg and pepper until margarine is melted.
Microwave at HIGH (100%) until heated through, 1 minute.
