Cook frozen or fresh green beans or heat canned beans.
Drain, put into a pan with the peeled, thickly sliced tomatoes and seasoning.
Heat for a few minutes only and serve.
To vary: Add a chopped onion to the pan and fry for 5 minutes in 2 tablespoons butter or margarine, then add the tomatoes and beans.
Add chopped herbs, parsley, thyme or chives to the pan with the tomatoes.
