Green Beans In Tomato Sauce

Ingredients
  Onion 1 Medium, chopped
  Garlic 1 Clove (5 gm), chopped
  Olive oil/Vegetable oil 2 Tablespoon
  Green beans 1 1⁄2 Pound, cut into 3-inch pieces
  Tomatoes 3 Medium, chopped
  Snipped parsley 1⁄4 Cup (4 tbs)
  Sugar 1 Teaspoon
  Salt 1 Teaspoon
  Dried basil leaves 1⁄2 Teaspoon
  Pepper 1⁄8 Teaspoon
  Grated parmesan cheese 1 Tablespoon
Directions

Cook and stir onion and garlic in oil in 3-quart saucepan until onion is tender.
Add remaining ingredients except cheese.
Cover and simmer over low heat until beans are tender, 15 to 20 minutes.
Sprinkle with cheese.
