|Bacon drippings/Lard||1 Cup (16 tbs)|
Mash beans with a potato masher or electric mixer, or whirl until smooth in a food processor.
Heat bacon drippings in a wide frying pan over medium heat.
Add beans and mix well.
Cook, stirring frequently, until beans are thickened and fat is absorbed.
Add salt to taste.
Serve hot or reheat.
