Crisp Garlic Green Beans

Ingredients
  Olive oil 2 Tablespoon, divided
  Green beans 2 Pound, divided (stem end trimmed, (the youngest, smallest available))
  Garlic 4 Clove (20 gm), minced, divided
  Salt To Taste
Directions

In a large nonstick skillet over moderate heat, heat 1 tablespoon oil until hot.
Add 1 pound beans and stir to coat.
Stir in 2 tablespoons water, cover, and cook over moderate heat until almost tender, stirring occasionally, about 4 to 5 minutes.
The beans will smoke and sputter.
Stir in half the garlic, cover, and cook for 2 minutes more, stirring once, until crisp-tender.
Toss with salt to taste.
Remove to serving platter.
Repeat with the remaining beans.
