Green Beans Bechamel
|Green beans||2 Pound|
|Bechamel sauce||2 Cup (32 tbs)|
|Slivered almonds||1⁄2 Cup (8 tbs)|
|Freshly grated parmesan cheese||1⁄2 Cup (8 tbs)|
|Cracker crumbs||1⁄2 Cup (8 tbs)|
|Melted butter||1⁄4 Cup (4 tbs)|
Lightly cook the beans, either whole or cut French style; drain, and arrange in a flat, well buttered baking dish.
Make Bechamel sauce.
Cover beans with sauce and sprinkle with the slivered almonds.
Over this, strew a mixture of the cheese, cracker crumbs, and melted butter.
Put under the broiler until crumbs are nicely browned
