Old Fashioned Baked Beans Using Molasses

Ingredients
  Dry navy beans 32 Ounce (2 Packages, 16 Ounce Each, Pea)
  Water 1 Cup (16 tbs) (Adjust Quantity As Needed)
  Dark molasses 1⁄2 Cup (8 tbs)
  Packed dark brown sugar 1⁄3 Cup (5.33 tbs)
  Salt 5 Teaspoon
  Dry mustard 4 Teaspoon
  Bacon slices/1/4 pound salt pork, diced 4 , cut into 1 inch pieces
  Onions 2 Medium, chopped
Directions

1. Rinse beans with running cold water and discard any stones or shriveled beans. In 8-quart Dutch oven over high heat, heat beans and 12 cups water to boiling; cook 3 minutes. Remove Dutch oven from heat; cover and let stand 1 hour. Drain and rinse beans.
2. Return beans to Dutch oven; add 7 1/2 cups water; over high heat, heat to boiling. Cover and bake in 350°F. oven 1 hour. Stir in molasses and remaining ingredients; cover and continue baking 1 hour, stirring occasionally. Remove cover; bake 15 to 30 minutes longer, until baked-bean mixture is of desired consistency.
