Deviled Green Beans
|Canned tomato sauce||8 Ounce (1 Can)|
|Garlic||1 Clove (5 gm), minced|
|Shredded cheddar cheese||1⁄4 Pound (1 Cup, Longhorn / Process)|
|Sliced pimientos||2 Ounce, drained and chopped (1 Jar)|
|Onion||1 Medium, chopped|
|Green pepper||1⁄2 , chopped|
|Canned cut green beans/2 packages, 9 ounce each frozen cut green beans, cooked in boiling, salted water||2 Pound, drained (2 Cans, 1 Pound Each)|
|Prepared mustard||2 Teaspoon|
Saute onion, garlic, green pepper, and pimientos in butter until onions are limp.
Remove from heat.
Stir in mustard, tomato sauce, and cheese.
Combine beans and sauce; turn into a 1 1/2-quart casserole.
Bake covered in a 350° oven for 20 minutes; uncover and bake 20 minutes more, or until cheese is melted.
