Beans With Tomato Sauce, Greek Style
|Yellow onion||1 , peeled and chopped|
|Peanut oil||1 Tablespoon|
|White beans||1⁄2 Pound, soaked overnight and cooked, drained|
|Tomato sauce||1⁄2 Cup (8 tbs)|
|Garlic||2 Clove (10 gm), crushed|
|Red wine||1⁄4 Cup (4 tbs)|
Saute the onion in a bit of oil until limp.
Blend all ingredients together, and simmer for 20 minutes.
This makes a very nice side dish for the family that is tired of potatoes or grains.
