Basic Batter For Fried Foods

|Sifted flour||1 Cup (16 tbs)|
|Baking powder||1 Teaspoon|
|Egg||1 , lightly beaten|
|Milk||1 Cup (16 tbs)|
|Cooking oil||2 Tablespoon|
Sift flour with baking powder and salt.
Mix egg, milk, and oil, slowly add to dry ingredients, and beat until smooth.
Pat food to be fried very dry and, if you like, dredge lightly in flour.
Dip pieces, 1 at a time, in batter, then fry in deep fat.
Restriction:Lacto Ovo Vegetarian
