Sea bass refer to a number of fish that go by the name sea bass. These include black sea bass, White sea bass, European sea bass or sea dace, potato bass and the Chilean bass which is actually the Patagonian toothfish. The term sea bass is also used for cods and groupers and some varieties of freshwater sport fish. The sea bass are used in a number of dishes and are curried, roasted, grilled, steamed, seared, sir fired with vegetables, baked and fried. They are also used in fish salads.
