Cheese-Sauced Striped Bass
|Striped bass fillets||2 Pound (fresh or frozen or other fish fillets or steaks)|
|Butter||1⁄4 Cup (4 tbs)|
|All purpose flour||1⁄4 Cup (4 tbs)|
|Garlic salt||1⁄4 Teaspoon|
|Milk||1 1⁄2 Cup (24 tbs)|
|Dry white wine||1⁄2 Cup (8 tbs)|
|Parmesan cheese||3 Tablespoon, grated|
Thaw frozen fish.
Cut into 6 portions.
Place in shallow baking dish.
In saucepan melt butter.
Blend in flour, garlic salt, and dash pepper.
Add milk and wine.
Cook and stir till thickened and bubbly.
Stir in / tablespoon Parmesan cheese.
Pour sauce over fish.
Bake at 350Â° till fish flakes easily when tested with a fork, 20 to 25 minutes.
Sprinkle remaining Parmesan cheese and paprika over top.
Place under broiler just till cheese is browned and sauce is slightly bubbly, 1 minute.
