Cut 2 pounds fresh striped bass fillets into 6 portions.
Place on greased rack of broiler pan.
Combine 1/4 cup chili sauce, 3 tablespoons melted butter, 2 tablespoons snipped chives, 1 tablespoon prepared mustard, 1/2 teaspoon salt, and dash bottled hot pepper sauce.
Brush sauce over fish.
Broil about 4 inches from heat till fish flakes easily when tested with a fork, 10 to 15 minutes.
Brush fish occasionally with the sauce.
