Ginger Marinated Sea Bass
|Sea bass steaks/Halibut steaks||1 3⁄4 Pound (4 Fresh Or Frozen Steaks, 1 Inch Thick)|
|Teriyaki sauce||1⁄4 Cup (4 tbs)|
|Lemon juice||2 Tablespoon|
|Grated ginger root||1 Tablespoon|
|Brown sugar||2 Teaspoon|
|Garlic||2 Clove (10 gm), minced|
|Ground red pepper||1⁄8 Teaspoon|
1. Thaw fish, if frozen. Rinse fish and pat dry with paper towels. In a shallow dish combine teriyaki sauce, lemon juice, gingerroot, brown sugar, garlic, and red pepper. Add fish; turn to coat with marinade. Cover fish and marinate in the refrigerator for 1 to 2 hours, turning the steaks occasionally.
2. Drain fish, reserving marinade. Place fish on the greased unheated rack of a broiler pan. Broil 4 inches from heat 5 minutes. Using a wide spatula, carefully turn fish over. Brush with marinade. Broil 3 to 7 minutes more or till fish flakes easily with a fork. Discard any remaining marinade. If desired, sprinkle with cilantro.
