Grilled Tomatoes With Basil
|Cherry tomatoes/24 cherry tomatoes||12 Small|
|Butter||2 Tablespoon, melted|
|Freshly ground pepper||1⁄4 Teaspoon|
|Finely chopped chives||1 Teaspoon|
|Chopped fresh basil/1/4 teaspoon dried crushed basil||1⁄2 Teaspoon|
|Finely chopped parsley||1 Tablespoon|
Using a sharp pointed knife, trim out the stems of the tomatoes neatly.
Place the butter, oil, salt, and pepper in a shallow, ovenproof dish that will accommodate the tomatoes comfortably.
Using a brush, coat each of the tomatoes with the butter and oil and turn stem end down in the dish.
Bake at 400 degrees for 10 minutes or until the skins just begin to break a little.
Baste once with any accumulated juices.
Sprinkle with the herbs and serve immediately.
