Sweet Basil Carrots

Ingredients
  Carrots 12 Medium, peeled
  Sweet butter 3 Tablespoon
  Maple syrup 2 Tablespoon
  Basil 2 Teaspoon
  Sea salt 1⁄4 Teaspoon
Directions

GETTING READY 1) Cut the carrots into slices of 1/8 inch. 2) Food processor may also be used to slice the carrots. 3) In a vegetable steamer, steam the carrots over boiling water for at least 10 minutes. 4) Ensure that carrots should be tender, but not mushy. MAKING 5) Heat a large heavy bottomed saucepan and melt butter in it. 6) Add maple syrup and basil. 7) Season the butter sauce with sea salt. FINALIZING 8) To the saucepan, add the steamed carrots. 9) Stir the mixture well to ensure the proper coating of sauce over carrots. SERVING 10) Serve the sweet basil carrots warm as a side dish.
