Sauteed Red Peppers With Basil

Ingredients
  Salad oil 2 Tablespoon
  Red bell peppers 2 Large, seeded and cut into 1/2-inch-wide strips
  Chopped basil/1 teaspoon dry basil 2 Tablespoon
  Basil sprig 2
  Salt To Taste
  Pepper To Taste
Directions

Heat oil in a wide frying pan over medium heat.
Add bell peppers and cook, stirring, until tender when pierced about 8 minutes.
Stir in chopped basil.
Season to taste with salt and pepper.
Serve; or, if made ahead, cover and let stand for up to 6 hours or refrigerate until next day.
To serve, reheat; or serve at room temperature or chilled.
Garnish with basil sprigs, if desired.
