Broiled Pineapple With Basil

Ingredients
  Honey 1⁄4 Cup (4 tbs)
  Cider vinegar 2 Tablespoon
  Chopped crystallized ginger 1 Tablespoon
  Dry basil 1 Teaspoon
  Pineapple 1 Medium, peeled and cored
  Basil sprig 1
Directions

In a small pan, combine honey, vinegar, ginger, and dry basil.
Stir over low heat until warm (about 3 minutes); set aside.
Cut pineapple crosswise into 1/2-inch-thick slices; or cut lengthwise into 1/2-inch-thick wedges.
Arrange pineapple pieces in a single layer in a shallow rimmed baking pan; drizzle with honey mixture.
Broil about 4 inches below heat until pineapple is lightly browned (3 to 4 minutes).
Using a wide spatula, transfer pineapple to a warm platter or plates.
Spoon pan juices over pineapple and garnish with basil sprigs, if desired.
