I very well knew that I gotta use basil as the culinary herb if I have an Italian cuisine in mind, but, only after trying this Pasta E Fagioli With Basil did I know that it would be soo tasty. Whatever be your taste there is no doubt that you will relish this Pasta E Fagioli With Basil. Enjoy eating!
Ingredients
  Olive oil 1 Tablespoon
  Onion 1 Medium, chopped
  Garlic 4 Clove (20 gm), chopped
  Mushrooms 1⁄2 Pound, sliced (230 Gram)
  Red bell pepper 1 , chopped
  Celery stalks 2 , sliced
  Canned cannellini/Red kidney / great northern beans 30 Ounce (Drained, Rinsed)
  Spinach leaves 1⁄2 Pound, chopped (230 Gram)
  Basil 1 Cup (16 tbs), chopped (For Garnish)
  Salt To Taste
  Pepper To Taste
  Ziti 1 Pound, cooked al dente
Directions

Coat a nonstick skillet with olive oil cooking spray.
Saute onion, garlic, mushrooms, bell pepper and celery for 5 minutes, or until soft.
Reduce heat and add tomatoes with juice, and beans.
Add water (optional) to reach desired consistency.
Cover and simmer for 15 minutes.
Add spinach, basil, salt and pepper.
Simmer 15 more minutes.
